Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Payload Safety professional in Huntsville, AL to support the Payload Safety Review Panel across all phases of safety reviews. You will evaluate data packages, coordinate safety requirements from POI, and help develop operational procedures for crew and ground segments.

Expect engagement with change requests and real-time ISS safety support. Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor's degree with 0–2 years’ experience, US citizenship for security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a related field; 0–2 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
• Understanding of operations in or relating to a laboratory environment.
• Experience with anomalies, troubleshooting, emergency response, and handling hazardous materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of safety data packages from a POI perspective and incorporate requirements into the safety analysis.
• Conduct hazard control evaluation and update POI Safety’s database (PDL).
• Assist in developing ops products including crew procedures, ground command procedures, and flight rules.
• Analyze operations change requests and related docs to resolve safety issues with MER Safety oversight.
• Provide real-time console support on call for ISS Payload Operations safety.
