Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Payer Relations Account Executive to drive new business growth within payer networks, including PBMs, health plans, and Medicaid programs. You will build strategic partnerships, develop compelling business cases, and collaborate with internal teams to expand the CVS Pharmacy network.

This role offers exposure to contracting strategies, data-driven decision making, and visibility with senior leaders as you advance opportunities and manage contracts through their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in sales, business development, account management, healthcare contracting, or related field.
• Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing new business agreements.
• Experience developing data-driven business cases and presenting to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence senior external partners.
• Strong business judgment and ability to work independently in complex discussions.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities with pharmacy benefit managers, health plans, discount providers, and state Medicaid programs.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, including forecasting potential business impact and tracking progress toward goals.
• Develop and present business cases and proposals that align service, quality, network design, and volume commitments with customer needs.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate market opportunities, assess competitive positioning, and support contract negotiations.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of newly executed agreements to ongoing account management teams and support performance reviews during the initial contract lifecycle.
