Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach is seeking a Recovery Reimbursement Analyst to act as an operations expert ensuring delivery of appropriate payments from managed care, government contracts and other payers. You will analyze identified variances, follow up promptly and document in the hospital systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• AS/AA degree in Accounting or Business Administration highly desired.
• 2–5 years revenue cycle experience in billing, reimbursement or collections.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and managed care reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret contract language and payment methodologies (DRG, APC, ASC, fee schedules, etc.).
• Strong analytical and time-management skills; detail-oriented and able to work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze underpayments and denials from managed care and government payers.
• Identify and resolve variances to ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Perform follow ups with payers by phone, letter, email or electronic media.
• Enter adjustments into the host system and finalize batches daily.
• Assist in appeals and reconsiderations for disputed claims.
• Document activities in the contract management system and monitor trends.
