Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a PAWsome Shift Supervisor to lead daily store operations and deliver neighborly service to pets and people. You’ll partner with team leaders to reinforce standards, provide coverage, and maintain safety and cleanliness across the shop.

You should bring 2+ years in retail, strong sales and customer service skills, and comfort with Microsoft Office. Expect flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement within the neighborhood store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Operate equipment including a forklift to run the store.
• Be able to work flexible schedules and have reliable transportation.
• Must pass drug screening and be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store team leaders to reinforce PSP standards and daily management routines.
• Provide leadership coverage and manage functions up to four days per week when leaders are offsite.
• Adhere to policies on cleanliness, animal care, safety and security to ensure exceptional service.
• Learn and perform back-office tasks like signage, price updates, and cashier records.
• Involvement in recruiting, onboarding and team development.
• Communicate opportunities to improve store performance to leaders.
• Act as team member when not acting as manager-on-duty.
• Willingness to perform nail trims on our furry friends.
