Job summary

Herman Weissker, Inc. seeks a Paving Field Coordinator to plan, post, document, and monitor temporary No Parking restrictions for paving and related public works projects in Los Angeles.

You will ensure compliance with LA permitting, traffic control plans, and project schedules while minimizing disruption to residents and businesses. The role requires coordinating daily with project managers and crews, maintaining logs and photos, and supporting field logistics and emergency paving operations as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in construction coordination, traffic control, public works, paving operations, utility construction, or related field.
• Experience in City of Los Angeles permitting environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement temporary parking restrictions for paving and roadway construction projects.
• Install, maintain, and remove temporary No Parking signs per LA permit requirements.
• Verify signs are posted within required notification timeframes before construction.
• Photograph and document posted signs, locations, dates and times for compliance records.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure parking restrictions remain visible and properly located.
• Communicate with residents, business owners, property managers, and stakeholders about upcoming restrictions.
