Job summary

Kansas Asphalt is seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman to supervise a paving crew on busy projects. This hands-on leadership role requires strong safety focus, coordination of site setup, traffic control, and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in asphalt paving, read blueprints and specs, and lead a team under varying conditions. CDL preferred; willingness to travel overnight as needed; extended hours and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years asphalt paving experience.
• Ability to read job plans, grades, and specs.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Able to work extended hours, weekends and varying weather conditions.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all day-to-day paving crew operations.
• Lead site setup, traffic control coordination, and safety briefings.
• Ensure work meets specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Coordinate crew tasks and oversee asphalt placement and compaction.
• Monitor timelines and adjust to meet schedules.
• Communicate with project managers, drivers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily logs and production reports.
• Uphold safety policies and PPE usage.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
