Job summary

State of Ohio Transportation - Central Office in Columbus seeks a Transportation Engineer to apply pavement engineering knowledge and support design efforts. You will learn from a licensed professional engineer and help with design and rehabilitation analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; EIT exam approved by the Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.
• For Transportation Engineer 2: valid EIT certificate and 12 months' experience as Transportation Engineer 1 (85641).
• Minimum qualifications may be substituted as allowed by the governing contract.

Responsibilities

• Learn from a licensed professional engineer about pavement engineering.
• Assist with pavement design and rehabilitation analysis and recommendations for the Department's pavement design program.
• Make recommendations to higher-level engineers on state-funded pavement-related research projects and assist with implementation.
