Job summary

A national engineering firm is seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer for its Transportation Practice in Miamisburg, Ohio. This role involves performing engineering design tasks across various phases of roadway projects, mentoring junior engineers, and developing specifications and cost estimates. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, PE preferred, and at least 4 years of experience in transportation and roadway design. Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive engineering experience with broad knowledge in transportation and roadway design.
• Experience with DOT design projects required.
• Ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
• Coordinate design activities between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.
