Job summary

Relativity Space in Mississippi seeks a senior NDE Specialist to lead UT/PAUT inspections, develop techniques, and guide a team of Inspectors toward flawless quality. You will collaborate with NDE Engineers and UT/PAUT Inspectors, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with NASA/AMS/ASME standards while supporting other inspection methods as needed.

Qualifications

• Current NDE Level II or III Certification in Ultrasonics (UTSW & PAUT)
• Minimum of 10 years total experience in NDE; 6 of which in aerospace manufacturing or other heavily regulated industry
• Experience in multiple projects of medium to high complexity
• Open to travel (10% - 25%)

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies and PAUT qualification plans.
• Develop, document, and publish PAUT techniques for a wide range of parts and assemblies.
• Perform UT/PAUT inspections and ensure accurate results.
• Serve as SME for UT/PAUT inspection development and audits.
• Collaborate to design and optimize automated inspection systems.
• Mentor other Specialists and Inspectors.
• Contribute to internal/external audits and reports.
• Communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
