Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Level II PAUT Technician to operate in the Austin, TX area. The role requires proficiency in Phased Array testing, instructional capability for trainees, and travel about half the time to support field inspections.

The ideal candidate will hold a specialized NDT program certification meeting SNT-TC1A and Level II credentials in PAUT, AUT, MT, PT, or VT, with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid TWIC and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Level II PAUT (manual and encoded PAUT) required.
• Level II AUT, Level II MT, Level II PT required.
• Level II VT or API 570 preferred.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT program meeting SNT-TC1A.
• Prior Level II certification on PAUT/UTSW or similar per SNT-TC1A standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• TWIC
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must demonstrate problem solving, communication and planning abilities.
• Safety conscious and willing to travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct tests with Phased Array NDT technique.
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Direct work of trainees and Level I personnel when needed.
• Be familiar with codes, standards, and contractual documents.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Perform other management-assigned duties.
