Job summary

Houston Grand Opera Association Inc. is seeking a Box Office Representative to be the front-line ambassador for patrons, delivering friendly, accurate service across ticket sales, exchanges, and event details.

You will staff the box office during performances and help build loyal audiences through outstanding care. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in customer service or ticket sales, enjoy opera or arts, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with evening and weekend

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct work experience in a customer service and/or ticket sales role.
• Evening and weekend work is required.
• Knowledge of opera and arts is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and seamless customer service for patrons that reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence.
• Assist patrons via phone, web chat, e-mail, or in-person regarding ticket sales, exchanges, and general inquiries.
• Ensure accurate processing and timely delivery of customer tickets.
• Engage in cross-selling, up-selling, and donation asks.
• Staff and support Box Office operations during performances.
• Support subscription renewals, sales, stewardship, and retention campaigns; assist with outreach as needed.
