Job summary

City of Prescott Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant - Circulation to join our team. The role supports patrons at the checkout desk, handles lending, returns processing, and card services in a busy library setting.

Hours total 19 per week, with days Friday through Monday. The position offers compensation at $17.00 per hour and requires a high school diploma with customer service experience preferable. A background check is required after offer.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience equivalent to High School Diploma.
• One (1) year customer service work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of services to patrons at the check-out desk.
• Checks books and other library materials out to patrons using the Yavapai Library Network's shared automation software.
• Checks in and shelves returned items.
• Empties book drops.
• Issues library cards to new patrons, renews cards, accepts payments for fines and fees and updates patron information.
