Job summary

Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, VT seeks a part-time Box Office Ticketing Agent to provide friendly, accurate service for ticket sales, exchanges, refunds, and will-call distribution. The role may represent Flynn at off-site events and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You’ll work with the Flynn’s ticketing system, process payments, and help ensure a welcoming patron experience while upholding policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous customer service or sales experience; box office/ticketing/arts experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Comfortable handling cash and processing payments; learn POS and ticketing systems.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Professional, patient, and courteous when assisting patrons with questions or concerns.
• Learn and apply ticketing policies, pricing, seating, and event information.
• Positive attitude and commitment to an inclusive, welcoming patron experience.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sell tickets in person and over the phone and assist with online purchases and account needs.
• Represent Flynn professionally at off-site events and ticketing locations.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to patrons, donors, and guests.
• Assist with ticket purchases, exchanges, refunds, seat changes, and accessibility requests.
• Process credit card, cash, and other payments accurately and securely.
• Distribute will-call tickets and resolve patron questions promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of performances, seating charts, prices, discounts, policies, and procedures.
• Answer calls and emails regarding ticketing, performances, and venue information.
• Assist with group sales inquiries and other patron services as needed.
• Follow box office cash-handling, data security, and safety procedures.
• Support front-of-house operations and patron services during performances.
• Maintain an organized, clean box office environment.
