Job Skills / Requirements

GSG Protective Services is seeking a Patrol Supervisor to provide security and supervision at a variety of sites and posts. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise all security officers on post orders and company policies
• Communicate scheduling needs or changes on the site to Operations Manager/Security Director.
• Ensure all safety and company protocols are being followed at the site
• Advise security officers on uniform policies, break schedules, and performance expectations
• Respond to minor issues that arise on site and resolve them according to company policy.
• Promote a positive work environment by providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and counseling to officers at site
• Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and/or vehicles on site
• Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
• Collaborate with all GSG Protective Services and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Report designated activities and irregularities by submitting written and/or verbal reports.
• Use computer, cloud and smart phone-based systems to conduct a variety of activities including completion of complicated and complex reports.
• Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.

Requirements

• 24+ years of age
• Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
• Valid Driver's License
• Documents that establish identity
• Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
• See, read, and understand policy and procedure manuals, reports, and other written materials.
• See, read, and recognize obstacles in a variety of normal and/or emergency environments. Have vision that is correctable.
• Ability to frequently enter and exit patrol vehicles throughout the assigned shift.
• Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports and other administrative tasks.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Hear spoken or recorded information.
• Ability to detain a suspect if needed.
• Ability to observe and report activity

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• 4 years security or related experience

Certification Requirements (All)

Security Officer License
