Job summary

The City of Sansom Park is seeking an experienced Patrol Sergeant to lead a four-officer patrol team across day and night shifts. You will supervise, train, and support officers on calls, enforce department policies, and promote professional standards while engaging with the community.

The role offers a starting salary of $82,183.92 with overtime, growth to $87,185.28 in year five, and benefits including health insurance, retirement, paid leave, and uniforms. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Texas Peace Officer license in good standing.
• TCOLE Intermediate Peace Officer Certificate, or ability to obtain within six months of appointment.
• Ability to work a flexible Panama schedule supporting both day and night patrol operations.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in patrol operations and field duties.
• Provides safety and security and enforces laws.
• Maintains discipline and ensures policy compliance.
• Develops officers through coaching and training.
• Reviews reports for accuracy and timeliness.
