Morristown Police Department is seeking Vermont-certified police officers with a level III certification for a full-time Patrol Officer position. The agency serves a community of about 5,000 residents and offers diverse specialist units and a direct path to advanced training.

This role features a base hourly rate of $31.57–$45.99, eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus for Vermont-certified in-state applicants, and an accelerated hiring process.

Qualificações

• Must be fluent in English and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated integrity and honesty with good judgment.
• Must successfully complete Vermont Police Academy Basic Class or VCJTC equivalent.
• Maintain VCJTC physical training standards and ongoing certification.
• Commit to ongoing training and study of department materials.

Responsabilidades

• Patrols by police vehicle for extended periods in all weather and lighting conditions.
• Patrol by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot as needed.
• Enforce laws within Morristown and Vermont.
• Respond to calls for service and investigate incidents and offenses.
• Take statements, interview witnesses and victims, and prepare reports for court.
