Town of Morrisville (NC) seeks motivated individuals to join the Morrisville Police Department as Police Cadets. Cadets are paid while they train; BLET costs are covered through a local community college, and cadet salary is $25.65 per hour, with transition to Police Officer I upon completion.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
• Submission of F-3 Authorization Form with your application.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas, respond to calls for service and assist during emergencies.
• Promote safety and address quality-of-life concerns in the community.
• Build trust with residents, businesses and visitors through professional service.
• Enforce traffic laws and investigate violations to keep Morrisville's roads safe.
• Serve warrants, subpoenas and criminal summonses as required.
• Participate in community outreach, neighborhood watches and civic presentations.
• Investigate crashes and incidents, collect evidence, and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with officers and community partners to address emerging issues.
