Job summary

The Town of Morrisville is hiring police officers to serve a fast-growing, diverse community near RTP. Starting pay is $27.94 per hour with comprehensive benefits and pension plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Possession of, or ability to possess, a Basic Law Enforcement Certificate (BLET) issued by the State of North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent crime and respond to calls for service.
• Enforce traffic laws, conduct traffic observation, issue warnings and citations.
• Investigate incidents, secure the scene, interview witnesses and apprehend suspects.
• Attend community meetings, participate in outreach and neighborhood programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
