• Must pass criminal background check and character background investigation as required by the Wis. Law Enforcement Standards Board.
• Must pass an oral interview and meet citizenship, residency, driving and medical/psychological screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patrols highways and designated areas to enforce motor vehicle and criminal laws and issue citations.
• Perform rescue duties, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Investigate accidents or complaints; prepare reports and handle related paperwork.
• Make arrests, use force when necessary, and testify in court when required.
