Job summary

PalAmerican Security in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Patrol Officer to enhance client safety with keen observation, rapid response, and clear communication as a visible ambassador for the company. You will patrol, inspect entrances, complete formal reports, and secure access points during 12-hour night shifts scheduled Thursday through Monday.

The role welcomes candidates with security or military experience and requires passing a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver License and clean driving record.
• Effective communication in English, verbally and in writing.
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus.
• Able to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Minimum age of 21.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in security, customer service or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Submit formal reports of each patrol performed.
• Practices safe driving skills both on and off duty.
• Maintains a highly visible presence observing and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct security checks and inspect building entrances and exits.

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk, run, and climb stairs
• Tolerate exposure to outside elements for extended shifts
• Sufficient hearing to respond to verbal speech and alarms
• Able to stand, walk, and/or drive for up to 90% of a 12-hour shift
