Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking a Patrol Officer to join our team in Ohio. You will be a visible ambassador, conducting security checks, observing for unusual activity, and reporting findings with clarity and timeliness.

Ideal candidates bring a valid driver’s license, strong English communication, and at least two years in security or a related field. A HS diploma or GED is required, and the role involves 12-hour shifts with outdoor exposure.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Effective communication in English, verbally and in writing.
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus.
• Able to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Valid Drivers License with ability to pass MVR check.
• Minimum age of 21.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in security, customer service or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Submit formal reports of each patrol performed
• Practices safe driving skills both on and off duty
• Maintains a highly visible presence observing and reporting unusual activity
• Conduct security checks and inspect building entrances and exits
• Patrol, inspect, and secure access areas into client's premises
• Lock and unlock areas according to schedule
• Conduct site safety and security inspections
• Document observations, activities, and actions completed
• Adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk, run, and climb stairs
• Tolerate exposure to outside elements for extended shifts
• Sufficient hearing to respond to verbal speech and alarms
• Able to stand, walk, and/or drive for up to 90% of a 12-hour shift
