The City of Eugene seeks Police Officers to perform a variety of law enforcement duties, respond to incidents, and serve as the public-facing link for the Eugene Police Department. The role requires flexible shifts, a 4/10 patrol schedule for some teams, and rapid response within 45 minutes of notification.

Requirements include DPSST standards, a High School diploma or GED, and an Oregon driver license. Applicants may be eligible for bilingual pay up to 5% and must pass a background check and

Competenze

• Must be able to work various shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet State DPSST certification standards.
• Oregon driver license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; clean driving record.

• Serve as first responder to incidents and as direct link between the department and the public.
• Respond to, and investigate, incident scenes; assess appropriate actions.
• Patrol assigned areas and enforce laws and ordinances; make arrests.
• Preserve crime scene evidence and summarize events in reports.
• Perform preventative community policing for diverse neighborhoods.
