Qualifications

• Ability to operate equipment and tools requiring complex adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Enforces codes, ordinances, laws to protect life and property.
• Patrols areas by vehicle, bike, or foot to deter crime and ensure security.
• Responds to dispatch calls including emergencies and incidents.
• Prevents/discovers crime; issues citations; pursues suspects; makes arrests.
• Conducts preliminary investigations; interviews witnesses; preserves evidence.
• Provides safety education, participates in school programs (COPS/D.A.R.E.).
• Operates law enforcement equipment and maintains vehicles/weapons.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors, officers, and the public.
