Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; ILETSB certification preferred. Sponsorship for academy training may be available.
• Experience: Experience in law enforcement, public safety, parks/recreation, or customer service is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record; CPR/AED/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct motorized and foot patrols of parks, facilities, and properties.
• Enforce laws, rules, and regulations while maintaining professionalism.
• Respond to calls for service and audits of incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare accurate incident and criminal reports and other required documentation.
• Provide courteous service to park patrons, employees, and community partners.
• Identify safety hazards and report maintenance or operational issues promptly.
• Support crowd management and event operations as assigned.
• Build positive relationships with park visitors and community organizations.
