You will patrol designated areas, respond to calls, conduct investigations, issue citations, and participate in emergency responses while pursuing professional standards and ensuring community well-being. A valid driver's license, U.S. citizenship, and GA POST certification within 12 months are required. Starting salary is $52,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• GA POST certification within 12 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license and U.S. citizenship.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanors.
• Pass required examinations and screenings before employment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce codes, ordinances, laws and regulations to protect life and property.
• Patrol designated areas and respond to dispatcher calls.
• Pursue suspects, issue citations, arrest offenders, and conduct searches.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and interview victims and witnesses.
• Perform rescue functions, enforce traffic and DUI laws, and use speed detection.
• Contribute to safety and well-being of the community within the county.
