Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Patient Visit Specialist to support visit closures and coordinate care in a fast-paced clinical environment at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital. You will optimize scheduling for accuracy, coordinate specialty and radiologic procedures, secure prior authorizations and referrals, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent patient service.

• High school or equivalent required.
• Experience in medical office, hospital, or clinic preferred.
• Proficiency in prior authorization/certification/referral processes preferred.
• Must pass EPIC competency for Registration after Epic Clerical Training.

Responsibilities

• Review orders in the EHR and schedule return visits, lab, radiology, STAT & ASAP appointments and imaging.
• Obtain prior authorizations and referrals per payor protocols.
• Print AVS with HIPAA privacy double-check where applicable.
• Collect backend patient balances and assist with check-out workflows.
• Coordinate with clinicians and educate patients on ROI process and release of information.
