Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Per Diem Transport Assistant to safely move patients to inpatient beds and to other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy or radiology. You will also retrieve medical records, lab results, supplies and medications as required, and help maintain department flow.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and BLS certification; no prior experience is required. The role emphasizes patient safety, clear communication, and reliable, organized support for the care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, infection control processes, clerical skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and good communication and organizational skills.

• Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process.
• Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis.
• Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, infection control processes, clerical skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and good communication and organizational skills.
