Job summary

ProMedica Monroe Physicians is seeking a Patient Transporter to assist in moving patients throughout Toledo Hospital. You will help lift, turn, and relocate patients to the appropriate transport equipment, ensuring comfort and safety.

When not transporting, you will clean equipment, change lines as needed, and communicate delays or concerns to dispatch. A high school diploma or GED and CPR certification are required, with per diem shifts and a focus on physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Must input and retrieve information from computer.
• Physically demanding; prolonged walking during shifts; expect over 10,000 steps.

Job Summary

When patients need to travel throughout the hospital, the Patient Transporter will help lift, turn, and move them to the proper transport equipment.

You will ensure transport equipment is safe for the patients and report any defects quickly. When not transporting patients, you will clean the equipment, change lines as needed and communicate delays or concerns regarding transport to dispatch.

Requirements

• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED
• Skills: Must be able to understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer. The position is highly physical, requiring prolonged periods of walking for most of your shift. Team members can expect to walk over 10,000 steps per shift.
• Certification: Must have and maintain CPR certification
