Job summary

ProMedica Monroe Physicians is seeking a Patient Transporter to assist in moving patients throughout Toledo Hospital. You will help lift, turn, and relocate patients to the appropriate transport equipment, ensuring comfort and safety.

When not transporting, you will clean equipment, change lines as needed, and communicate delays or concerns to dispatch. A high school diploma or GED and CPR certification are required, with per diem shifts and a focus on physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED.
• Skills: understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.
• Must input and retrieve information from computer.
• Physically demanding; prolonged walking during shifts; expect over 10,000 steps.
• Certification: CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Move and position patients and equipment as required for transport.
• Ensure transport equipment is safe and report defects promptly.
