Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Florence is seeking a full-time Transporter. The role entails safe, efficient patient transport around the campus and support for moving medical equipment.

You will also operate the hospital shuttle and golf carts to move staff and patients between designated areas. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0–6 months of experience, and must hold a BLS certification plus a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–6 months of experience in a hospital transport setting preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required; valid South Carolina driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients throughout the MUSC campus while maintaining high patient care standards.
• Assist in moving and positioning medical equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks.
• Operate hospital shuttle and golf carts to transport staff and patients between parking areas and the hospital.
