Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial seeks a Patient Transporter to move inpatients and outpatients across the campus, ensuring accurate patient identification and a courteous, safe transfer process. You will greet patients, assist with transfers, observe patient conditions, and report issues promptly.

Responsibilities include transporting patients to testing areas, operating hospital equipment like beds and wheelchairs, and maintaining a clean transport area while communicating clearly with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED, upon hire.
• CPR (AHA Basic Life Support) within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport in-patients within hospital departments and to testing areas.
• Use TeleTracking to schedule and track patient movements.
• Operate beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs with care and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe transport environment and report equipment issues.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff during transfers.
