Job summary

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 18+ years, and CPR certification within 90 days; prior customer service and healthcare exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Career Intern currently in High School required or
• Minimum 18 years of age required
• Medical Career Intern with Work Perm
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred
• CPR certification within 90 days required; additional unit certifications may vary by department.

Responsibilities

• Transports patient and belongings to and from various hospital locations and entrance.
• Assists in lifting, positioning, and transferring patients to examine tables, chairs, stretchers, or beds.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety; alerts nursing staff to distress or symptoms.
• Moves beds and equipment within units and between units as needed.
• Identifies patient via hospital ID band and DOB.
• Operates transport request devices and completes jobs promptly.
• Inspects equipment for damage; reports issues; cleans surfaces after use.
