Job summary

Evanston Hospital-Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is hiring a Patient Transport Worker to move patients, belongings, medical records, and specimens to support patient care. This full-time role operates on rotating shifts and weekends/holidays as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Fluent English communications.
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
Flexible and able to adapt to rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

Transports patients and their belongings, medical records, specimens, and equipment to various locations to support patient care.
Safely moves patients with traction, IVs, drainage apparatus, oxygen and other medical devices within safety standards.
Uses electronic devices to update dispatch and status of duties; notifies dispatcher as needed.
Verifies patient identity before transport and follows confidentiality policies.
Transports patients on admissions and discharges and assists with getting in/out of vehicles.
Complies with OSHA, safety standards, and local regulations.
