Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Patient Transporter for the Patient Escort Services Department. This is a PRN opportunity that supports safe, efficient movement of patients within the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to maintain continuous patient care and must meet health and education requirements. The role requires a High School Diploma and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Patient Transporter in our Patient Escort Services Department at Baptist Downtown. This is an PRN opportunity.

Transporter, Job Responsibilities

• Accept patient move assignments from the Dispatcher.
• Provide a safe and efficient transport of the patient; this may be done utilizing a wheelchair, stretcher or bed and must always be done in a quick yet safe manner.
• Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that continuity of patient care is maintained at all times.
• Be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
