Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a compassionate Mobility Technician to join the Nursing Support team at Baptist Medical Center in Downtown Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day position supports patient mobility and uses lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards to safely reposition and transfer patients.

The ideal candidate has a HSD/GED and an Associate's degree is preferred; BCLS certification is required. Join a multi-disciplinary team focused on quality patient care and fall prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff with safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfers.
• Operate patient handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards.
• Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments.
• Support fall prevention strategies and early mobility protocols.
• Document mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies.
