Job summary

UF Health in Leesburg, FL seeks a transporter to move patients safely and promptly throughout the facility. Under supervision, you provide basic physical care and comfort, help maintain a clean, organized environment, and assist coordination of patient flow among nursing, medical and ancillary staff.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and the ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Prior hospital transport experience is a plus.

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Administration, Supervisor, RN, and LPN, the transporter is responsible for providing safe, timely transportation of patients throughout the facility. Providing safety, basic physical care, and comfort measures for patients; as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment. Helps coordinate the flow of patients between nursing, medical and ancillary staff.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS)
