Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter at Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, MO. The role involves transporting patients and equipment safely between departments, using Epic to track locations and equipment, and supporting the department’s patient transport needs.

A High School diploma and two years of customer service experience are preferred, with BLS certification required and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
