Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Transport Technician to move patients and equipment between hospital departments. You will ensure safety, use proper body mechanics, and maintain PAR levels for equipment across the Medical Center.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
