Job summary

Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Fairlawn, OH is seeking a patient transporter/sitter to support safe patient movement and a welcoming experience. You will transport patients, assist with transfers, and provide information to patients and visitors as part of a compassionate care team.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; BLS within 6 months; prior healthcare, transportation, or customer service preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely throughout the hospital, including nursing units, diagnostic areas, physician offices, and other care locations.
• Assist with patient transfers, discharges, and movement between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Create a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families through compassionate, customer-focused service.
• Provide non-medical assistance and general information to patients and visitors, including wayfinding and transportation support.
• Monitor assigned patients while performing sitter duties, maintaining continuous observation as directed.

The Essentials

• Schedule: Minimum 24 hours per month, Variable schedule Monday-Saturday 9AM-7PM
• Location: Fairlawn, OH

What You'll Do

• Transport patients safely throughout the hospital, including nursing units, diagnostic areas, physician offices, and other care locations.
• Assist with patient transfers, discharges, and movement between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Create a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families through compassionate, customer-focused service.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Previous healthcare, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.
• Skills:Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform basic math functions, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
