Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in patient care services preferred.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and parents preparing for transport.
• Verify patient identity and paperwork before transport; ensure accuracy of transport orders.
• Provide safe, compassionate transport of patients across hospital areas.
• Assist with discharge transport and loading belongings into vehicles.
• Ensure patients are covered with blankets during transport.
• Coordinate with patient care areas to meet transport needs across units.
• Participate in department and hospital educational programs to maintain skills.
• Deliver excellent customer service and work as a team to meet goals.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
