Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a part-time Transporter to escort patients, deliver items, and support patient comfort. The role involves moving patients between nursing units and departments, handling Medical Records, lab specimens, and pharmacy items, and assisting with oxygen tanks as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and may include weekends/holidays. Prior food service experience is a plus. Registration with the 1199 Fund is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some previous experience in food service is desirable.
• Ability to follow simple directions.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the hospital to different departments.
• Handle pick-ups and deliveries of Medical Records, Lab Specimens, pharmacy and equipment.
• Assist with changing O2 tanks and applying regulators as needed.
• Provide patient-friendly service and maintain safety and comfort.
