Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a part-time Transportation Aide to move patients and supplies throughout the facility, ensuring safe transfers and timely delivery of items. You will coordinate with patients, families and clinical staff, keep hallways clear, and help with transfers using stretchers and wheelchairs.

The role requires a High School Diploma (preferred), CPR/BLS certification, a valid driver's license (preferred), and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year public contact in a medical setting (preferred).
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification required.
• Driver's License (DL) preferred.
• Must be proficient in English reading, writing and following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment safely between locations within the facility.
• Maintain clear hallways by moving unused equipment to designated storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare staff.
• Accurately record transport details and report necessary information using the Transportation system.
• Assist in safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
• Facilitate movement of patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs.

Job Description:

• Schedule: Monday 1900-2300, Saturday and Sunday 1500-2330.

Maintains clear hallways by moving unused equipment to designated storage areas. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Ensures the proper handling and delivery of medical equipment and supplies. Participates in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge. Other duties as assigned. Assists in the safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair. Facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs. Transports patient-related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs, and equipment efficiently. Accurately records transport details and reports necessary information using the Transportation system.
