Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications safely, and coordinate patient care with the team.

  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
  • Ability to work as a team player within a unit.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (read, verbal and written).
  • Basic computer skills – navigate Windows-based programs.
  • Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Sign on Bonus: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Job Description

  • Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

  • 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
