AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Patient Transport Assistant to move equipment and patients safely within the facility, ensuring clear communication with staff and patients. You will transport stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs, while maintaining clean hallways and documenting transport details in the system.
Required is a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1+ year public contact in a medical setting preferred, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Maintains clear hallways by moving unused equipment to designated storage areas. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Ensures the proper handling and delivery of medical equipment and supplies. Participates in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge. Other duties as assigned. Assists in the safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair. Facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs. Transports patient-related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs, and equipment efficiently. Accurately records transport details and reports necessary information using the Transportation system.
