• We are hiring immediately for a part time PATIENT TRANSPORTER position.
• Location: Freeman Hospital West - 1102 West 32nd Street, Joplin, MO 64804. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Part time schedule. Days may vary, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous patient transporter or patient care experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but not required. Willing to train!
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Transporter
Facilitating Internal Hospital Patient Moves

Summary: Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secures patient.
• Uses wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out the essential duties of the position.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting all specific age groups.
• Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destination using the proper requested equipment.
• Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch.
