Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment safely across the Medical Center. You will support multiple departments and utilize Epic to track patient locations and equipment flow. The role emphasizes teamwork and proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
