Role Overview

As a Telemetry Transporter, you will be responsible for transporting patients, lab specimens, and blood products safely within the hospital. The role involves monitoring vital signs, assisting with patient movements, and providing excellent hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Transport patients, specimens, and pharmaceuticals securely and efficiently.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs using a portable cardiac monitor upon request.
  3. Assist with patient transfers from bed to wheelchair or stretcher.
  4. Meet response and travel time goals using the Epic Rover Transport System.
  5. Provide exceptional hospitality to patients, visitors, and staff.
  6. Perform physical tasks involving lifting and movement of up to 200 pounds.
  7. Assist in training new staff and maintain equipment stewardship.
Qualifications
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • EMT certification with ongoing maintenance and annual competency reviews.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
