Job summary

Trinity Health's Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is seeking a part-time Transporter to safely move patients throughout the facility using proper equipment and procedures. This role operates on a rotating shift with 24 hours per week, located at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA.

The transporter will uphold patient safety, demonstrate sound judgment in choosing transport modes, and show empathy toward patients while following infection control practices and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior hospital transport or patient care experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout the hospital using appropriate equipment in a safe, timely manner.
• Select proper mode of transport with good judgment.
• Show respect, empathy, and compassion to patients.
• Maintain patient safety during transport to ancillary areas and return to unit.
• Follow proper infection control practices in all patient care activities.
