Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Transporter to move patients, visitors and supplies across the Rochester campus in a safe and efficient manner. The role requires standing and walking long distances, handling equipment, and coordinating with nursing and support staff.

Responsibilities include following transport protocols, using iPhone/pager assignments, and ensuring proper patient identification and safety during transfers. Varied shifts with on-call intervals may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, visitors and patient-related items across Mayo Clinic campus safely and efficiently.
• Stand and walk 10–12 miles per 8-hour shift; operate motorized transport equipment with supervision.
• Input and manage transport requests via computers or dispatch staff by phone.
