Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely escort and move patients within the hospital. You will adhere to safety guidelines, communicate with staff, visitors, and patients, and ensure accurate information flow between Central Transport and other departments.

The Patient Transporter strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. You will be responsible for communicating clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. You will also ensure adequate communication of information between Central Transport and other departments. The base pay range for full-time employment is $17.54 - $25.58 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
